Freddie Maxie
Freddie Maxie is celebrated as a symbol of beauty and talent, known not only for her dancing skills but also for her distinctive fashion sense. As one of the Soul Train dancers who influenced fashion trends in the 70s, her impact still resonates today. She has been featured in the African American History & Culture Smithsonian in Washington, DC since 2016 as part of a permanent exhibit. Engaged in the Black History Cause, she maintains strong connections with movements that honor black history, and in this museum, you can see the outfit she used at the Marvin Gaye Soul Train episode on April 1974 "Let's Get It ON".
