Marvin Columbus

Marvin has been showcasing his talent since he was 15 years old, and continues to be recognized as one of the most skilled male dancers.

Old School, B-Boy & Breaking, Hip Hop, and Salsa. He has received the award of Most Versatile Dancer at the Annual Hip-Hop Awards. He has been dancing Salsa (Afro-Cuban Style) for nearly 2 decades.

He has received a Tony Award for the Off-Broadway Play "Stand-Up Tragedy"

He toured with Midnight Starr, Zap, and the Gap Band in 1980, two years later he was the lead dancer on the Flashdance/Beat Street tour with Jennifer Beals in the UK, which was based on the hit movie "Flashdance". He was also featured as a dancer and choreographer at the "Hollywood Palace" from 1985 to 1987 in "The Palace Dancers" playing an important role in the conception, creation, and execution of a show that opened up for acts such as Kid Creole & The Coconuts, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Straycats, and many more.

From 1987 Marvin was the new lead dancer with Ozone and Turbo in the "Breakin II" tour for nine months. He choreographed the "7Up Fresh Fest tour” and was also a lead dancer, performing alongside acts such as Fatboys, Curtis Blow, Lisa Lisa Cult Jam, Full Force Whoodini, and Cool Moe Dee. He continued to be the only lead dancer and choreographer in 1990 for the Chrysalis recording artist Elisa Fiorillo, C + C Music Factory, Tony Toni Tone, Debbie Gibson, and Kemps and Stacy Q. Marvin was also the only dancer with Cherelle on her 1991 Track tour.

Marvin toured the UK with Kid Creole in 1993. Between that year and 1995, he danced and choreographed the Salsa act for Gerardo aka "Rico Suave, " followed by a tour throughout Latin America featuring Enrique Iglesias and Luis Miguel.

He choreographed Elisa Fiorillo; who collaborated with Prince in the son "Ooh this I need" for a show at the Apollo.

As a non-stop creative mind, Marvin is currently developing his Dance TV series “Crossing The Line”, The Heavyweight Champion Ken Norton Sr. story, and “Girls of Summer” a true story about African-American female Baseball.
